Online Coaching vs Personal Training - Whats the better option?
For me there is no right or wrong answer to this. You need to decide what you want and what works for you. From personal experience I can tell you, I have done both and enjoy both. My current routine consists of training by myself and training with a Personal Trainer (yes even PT's use PT's) once a week.
Back in the days when I just started on my fitness journey and I was too scared and embarrassed to go to the gym. I used a very popular online training program. I may have not followed their meal plan exactly, but in regards to exercise it helped me to get into the routine I so needed. It helped me to create a habit and therefore helped me to lose over 30kg. From that onwards I was hooked on being fit.
So personally I am a huge fan of online coaching, being able to track your progress, be part of a community, have a trainer to talk to. On the other hand it requires determination and you need to be honest. There is no point in writing down the wrong weight or measurements to make it look better. The only person you cheat on is YOU.
Personal Training is equally great. Find a trainer you can connect with. Someone who cares about your goals and wants you to achieve them. Personal Training can keep you accountable and can provide you the push, you may be lacking training by yourself. Training by yourself with a plan customised to your needs, gives you the freedom to train whenever it suits you, e.g. when your baby is asleep, early in the morning before everyone is awake. The decision is yours. Nowadays training plans can be customised to your personal situation, e.g. you want to train 2 days a week in the gym and 2 days at home.
There are a lot of online programs out there and it can be difficult to find the right one. But there are so many options out there that there is a right option for you.

When you decide you want to train with me, you will have an initial consultation via phone, Skype, FaceTime or in person - like a Personal Training client. Once you decided this fits and you want to go ahead and train with me I will send you a (quite comprehensive) questionnaire, which helps me to get to know your exercise habits and get to you know likes and dislikes about exercise, existing injuries etc. Once I receive this questionnaire back I will sit down and create a trainings plan for you. I then give you access to our client app, where you can track progress, complete challenges, log you exercise, access your workout plan and stay in touch with me.
