When I ask my clients why they hired me and what they want to achieve most likely I will get answers like these...
I want to lose weight
I want my clothes to fit better
I just want to feel fitter
Over the years and through my own experience I know these are not your real reasons. Most likely I will ask some more questions about your why. ... you may find this uncomfortable at first, but if you want true change ....
Tony Robbins once said “ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖 𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕟𝕤 𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕒𝕚𝕟 𝕠𝕗 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕪𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕤𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕚𝕤 𝕘𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕒𝕚𝕟 𝕠𝕗 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖.”
Think about this. How often have you decided to start a new diet, becoming more active etc because you wanted to lose weight. And what happened? After a few weeks you lost your enthusiasm and motivation for the new changes and habits and you fell back into old patterns.
That’s because losing weight isn’t your true why... Your actual why is often painful Your why maybe the fear of not being able to start a family because you live such an inactive life Maybe your why is to be the active mum who is able to run with their child instead of just standing on the sidelines Maybe your why is getting the confidence back before you had children Maybe your why is to find you again after losing yourself when becoming a mum Maybe it is the pain of the hurtful comments people made about your body in the past (this may even go back into childhood) Maybe it is the fear of showing your true you
I challenge you to find the pain, then you can make lasting change
Pain is uncomfortable, that’s why most people stay the same and don’t make changes
